About the Podcast

New episodes every Tuesday

Books, Cats, & Chaos is a brand-new podcast hosted by husband-and-wife duo James and Ka-Ce. After spending two decades in corporate and office jobs, they decided to embark on a creative and fun new adventure, diving headfirst into the world of storytelling.

The podcast focuses on story deep dives, breaking down five to seven chapters of a series per episode. They analyze characters, explore plot developments, share predictions, and, of course, go off on entertaining tangents. In addition to main episodes, there are smaller, one-off episodes featuring older books, standalone stories, and listener recommendations.

Covering a wide range of fictional genres—fantasy, vampires, mystery, horror, and more—James and Ka-Ce bring their unique perspectives to every discussion. Whether you’re here for the in-depth analysis or the casual, fun banter, they hope you enjoy listening as much as they enjoy creating the chaos!

Get to know Ka-Ce

Ka-Ce, a self-proclaimed Book Dragon, is on a lifelong quest to collect all the books and visit as many bookstores as possible. Her perfect day? Moody weather, a cozy heater or fireplace, a steaming mug of vegan hot cocoa, a purring kitty, and a spellbinding book.

Her love for reading began with classics like The Chronicles of Narnia and Bridge to Terabithia, but DragonLance sparked her true literary obsession. Now, she’s drawn to fantasy, romantasy, paranormal romance, and historical fiction—especially where fantasy and romance intertwine.

Beyond books, Ka-Ce’s life has included Irish dancing, a love for cats and dragons (Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon is her favorite), and a passion for exploring the world’s castles and bookstores. When not working in finance, she’s dreaming of adventures—always ready to stop for cats and dogs along the way.
